At its recent Annual Franchisee Crisis Conference held in Atlanta, GA, Firestorm Franchising honored Mr. Missan Eido as its 2018 Principal of the Year.Missan Eido and Jim Satterfield

A Firestorm Principal for the past eight years, Missan Eido was recognized by Firestorm Co-Founder and CEO Jim Satterfield and all in attendance as an industry leader whose dedication to the Firestorm Predict.Plan.Perform.® methodology exemplifies overall excellence and adherence to brand standards.

“Firestorm has developed step-by-step processes, tools, and procedures and plans for our Principals to assist organizations in planning for and managing disasters and crises,” said Firestorm CEO Jim Satterfield. “Missan has leveraged these tools and his industry expertise and credibility to successfully develop and deliver national account opportunities, and we are ecstatic to recognize his continuing contributions.”

We had the opportunity to sit down and ask Missan a few questions about his experience owning a Firestorm Franchise since 2010.

What does it mean to you to be named Principal of the Year?

Missan Eido (ME): This honor would not have been possible without the help and support I received from the Firestorm community, and for that I am eternally grateful. It is a wonderful recognition by the Firestorm family for a body of work over a long period of time. Being named Principal of the Year is a reminder that what we do is fundamental to keeping people safe and that getting it right makes all the difference.

What advice would you give to someone who is a new franchisee/principal?

ME: Patience, Patience, Patience. Expect delays, frustration, hard work and rejection. The sale cycle is longer that you may expect, however, there are special moments to enjoy when things work out. These accomplishments make the work and dedication worth while on a personal level.

Additionally, invest heavily in relationships and connections and you will be pleasantly surprised and rewarded.

What are your goals, or what are you looking forward to in 2019?

ME: My goals for 2019 are to continue to help current clients as they evolve preparedness at work and schools. I’m also working to build a solid partnership with five school associations representing 1000 schools.

Missan is recognized for managing successful business assessment programs aimed at identifying process vulnerabilities and managing programs designed to mitigate risk while delivering improved cost and cycle-time performance. His substantive work across a myriad of systems, business processes and global organizational cultures provides him with extensive insight into how any company can best avoid the five common business failures that are typically exposed during a crisis, disruption or disaster, and threaten an organization’s resiliency and overall value to stakeholders.

Congratulations Missan!
